October is a season of transition - the perfect time to gather what we've learned, ground ourselves in nourishing routines, and create harmony before the holiday rush. This three-part October Reset series invites you to pause and realign with the rhythms of the season.

The Shift of October Evenings

The days are shorter now, the evenings longer. Darkness comes earlier, and with it, a natural slowing. While it can be easy to resist this change, October invites us to embrace it - to steady ourselves with simple, grounding routines.

Why Grounding Matters

When light fades, our minds often grow restless. Grounding rituals remind us that darkness is not something to fear but something to root into - a time to restore, recalibrate, and return to ourselves.

My Grounding Practices

This season, my grounding routines look like:

  • Lighting a candle as I transition into the evening.
  • Choosing a book or journal instead of scrolling at night.
  • Leaning into warm, nourishing meals that feel like care.

These rituals bring me back to center, reminding me that rest is as vital as growth.

A Grounding Invitation for You

Ask yourself: What’s one small grounding ritual I can add to my evenings this week?

Grounding is the second step in our October Reset. Tomorrow, we’ll move from rooting into balance - finding harmony before the busy season begins.
